Meet your favourite characters

Every pack follows people you know from the screen. Slappy dresses up for the part.

Kevin and Sheldon are in the first two packs.

How a pack works

Every pack is built around one scene from a film or series. Five short lessons take you from the words to telling a story of your own.

By lesson 5, you'll know the scene by heart.

  1. Words

    nervous

Learn the words you'll need for the scene. Tap any word to hear how it's said.

  2. Watch

Watch the clip. It stops now and then to ask what just happened. Afterwards you read the same scene, told a different way.

  3. Grammar

was / were + -ingShe was watching TV.

Learn one piece of grammar the characters use. When you get something wrong, you see why.

  4. Use it

    We was late.We were late.

Put the new words and grammar to work, then watch the scene again. You'll catch a lot more this time.

  5. Your turn

I was cooking when the lights went out. Then12 of 40 words

Write a short story of your own and compare it with ours. A final round of questions covers the whole pack.

Questions

Where do the clips come from?

From the film or series' own YouTube channel. In the lessons they play in YouTube's player.

Do I need to have seen the film?

No. The story and the words come first, so every lesson works without it.

What level do I need?

Each pack names its level on the European scale, from A1 to C2.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in the browser on a phone or a laptop.

Do I keep the pack?

Yes. You pay once, with no subscription. Come back to it any time.

Who writes the lessons?

We do. A person checks every lesson before it goes live.
